Impossible ceases to be “Something not possible” when a strong power of will, the unshakable love for a cause and an unflinching belief in oneself come together to erase permanently the notion of impossibility from the minds and souls of mindful and soulful mortal beings. Words and phrases like difficult or very difficult or near impossible do not find a place in the vocabulary of such determined people.

After decades of a long queue, doctors and health care workers of our vale, associated with the pediatric and neonatal care see a dream come true; the dream of having a separate chapter of National Neonatology forum-Kashmir. This is such a blessed occasion and a blissful move that it has brought along with the first ever regional Neocon “North Zone Neocon- 2023” to the Vale of Fairies; the way a gentle breeze in the season of spring brings the fragrances from the heavenly gardens and garlands of the vale of beauty and the lone place of tranquility on the face of earth.

The honour of being the first president of the NNF- Kashmir has put a tremendous load of responsibilities on my shoulders. It is only your support and guidance that will make me strong enough to shoulder these responsibilities and help me to lead this sacred mission to its logical conclusion: conclusion of giving a new lease of life to the field of Neonatology in this part of our country.

On behalf of founding members and office bearers of NNF- Kashmir, I welcome you all to this holy beginning of a sacred mission and sanctified cause. Let us not remain locked and encaged in the past anymore. NNF-K belongs to all of us. We all are its leaders as well as gross root workers. Let us work together for the betterment of our present and future generations. Let us make the best out of this lifetime opportunity.
